Belthrough Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy outlines the regulations governing the utilization of Belthrough Inc.’s website and/or services (the “Services”).

BY UTILIZING BELTHROUGH AND THE BELTHROUGH WEBSITE, THE CUSTOMER AGREES TO ABIDE BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY. FAILURE TO ACCEPT THIS POLICY MEANS THE CUSTOMER SHOULD REFRAIN FROM USING THE WEBSITE AND/OR SERVICES.

The Customer bears responsibility for ensuring that its users/customers adhere to this Acceptable Use Policy. Belthrough may suspend the Customer’s service if the Customer or its users/customers violate this policy.

The Services may only be used for lawful, appropriate, and proper purposes. The Customer must employ the Services in a manner deemed consistent with their intended purposes by Belthrough. The Customer shall refrain from engaging in any activity, legal or illegal, that (i) harms Belthrough, the Services, and/or any Customer, or (ii) disrupts the provision or use of the Services by Belthrough or any Customer.

The Services shall not be employed for any activity that is illegal, deceptive, harmful, violates the rights of others, or compromises Belthrough’s business operations or reputation. Prohibited activities include but are not limited to:

Activities Affecting Belthrough Services
  • Disrupting the availability, reliability, or stability of Belthrough Services.
  • Directly or indirectly facilitating a Denial-of-Service attack on any Belthrough Services.
  • Attempting to circumvent or compromise any security measures on any of the Services or using the Services in a manner that poses security or service risks to Belthrough, its users, or their customers.
  • Testing or reverse-engineering the Services to identify limitations, vulnerabilities, or evade filtering measures.
  • Transmitting any material containing viruses, malware, or any other malicious programs.
  • Interfering with or disrupting networks connected to the Services or violating the regulations, policies, or procedures of such networks.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Services.
  • Utilizing the Services or any component thereof in a manner unauthorized by Belthrough.
Activities Violating Belthrough and Individuals’ Rights
  • Employing the Services in a manner exposing Belthrough or any third party to liability, damages, or danger.
  • Using Belthrough intellectual property (including trademarks) other than as expressly permitted in the Terms of Service.
  • Violating any applicable third-party policies or requirements communicated by Belthrough to the Customer.
  • Engaging in fraudulent activity regarding the Customer’s account.
  • Using the Customer’s account for fraudulent activities toward third parties or circumventing phone identification systems.
  • Creating false identities, forged email addresses, headers, or phone numbers to mislead others using the Customer’s account.
  • Using Belthrough Phone Numbers for messaging purposes not enhancing the person-to-person nature of text communications.
  • Harvesting or collecting information about others, including email addresses or phone numbers, from the Belthrough website without their explicit consent.
  • Failing to obtain legally required consent from applicable third parties for processing their personal data as outlined in the Belthrough Privacy Policy.
Activities Related to Inappropriate Content
  • Transmitting any material that may infringe the intellectual property rights or other rights of third parties.
  • Engaging in spamming or unsolicited advertising, marketing, or other activities violating anti-spamming laws and regulations.
  • Using the Services for unsolicited, harassing, inappropriate, objectionable, threatening, or abusive materials or messages (commercial or otherwise).
  • Engaging in activities or transmitting information through the Services that may be libelous, defamatory, malicious, harmful, or discriminatory.
Telecom-related Activities / Compliance
  • Offering Emergency Services to users (excluding Austria and Switzerland).
  • Using Belthrough Services for promoting or engaging in illegal activities prohibited by applicable laws.
  • Violating or aiding the violation of any U.S. or foreign laws concerning the transmission of technical data or software, processing of personal data, communication, or other applicable legislation.
  • Improperly engaging in activities regulated by the United States Federal Communications Commission regarding the proper use of the public telephone network.
    Complaints
  • Complaints regarding breaches of this Acceptable Use Policy may be directed to support@belthrough.com. Belthrough will investigate incidents of violations and provide relevant information to third parties harmed by the Customer’s non-compliance with this policy.
Remedies

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of the Customer’s account, civil and/or criminal liability. In addition to any legal remedy, Belthrough may terminate the Customer’s permission to use the Services. The Customer remains liable for any outstanding charges incurred through its use of the Services, including violations of this policy or any jurisdiction’s laws. Belthrough’s failure to enforce this policy in every instance does not constitute a waiver of its rights.

Belthrough reserves the right to determine whether Customers are in violation of this Acceptable Use Policy.

Changes to Acceptable Use Policy

Belthrough may revise the Acceptable Use Policy without notice by posting changes on the Belthrough website (https://belthrough.com/legal/aup). The “Updated” date of the Acceptable Use Policy will reflect any modifications.

Acceptable Use Policy & Terms of Service

The Acceptable Use Policy is governed by our Terms of Service, which supersede any conflicting provisions. Undefined terms herein are defined in the Terms of Service.”
